v  With the rupee touching new lows against the dollar the government proposes reforms to boost inflow of foreign capital.

v  The Group of Ministers on disinvestment has cleared 9.33% stake sale in minerals and Metals Trading Corporation (MMTC) through offer for sale.

v  Telegram services come to an end from July 15.

v  K Srikanth has become the first Indian man to win a major badminton title outside india after Pullela Gopichand’s all England championship in 2001. The 20- year- old beat top seed Boonsak Ponasana 21-16,21-12, in 34 minutes to win the Thailand Open Grand Prix.
